Our challenge is to design people-centered spaces that foster exchange and collaboration, with an integrative and sustainable approach.

A development company invited architecture, interior design, and landscape design studios to take part in a “non-binding” ideas competition for the comprehensive design of the rooftop and the adjoining ground-floor area of the office building at Manuela Pedraza 1520, currently in the design phase under the studio MIA.

The goal is to transform the accessible rooftop terrace into an innovative, versatile, high-quality shared space that combines functionality and creativity, with landscaping as a central element of its character and environmental value. In addition, a proposal must be developed for the ground-floor side setback, which may only be occupied by vegetation and/or permeable surfaces, turning it into a complementary green area.

The proposal covers the development of the executive project for architecture, furnishings, and landscaping for the rooftop of the Manuela Pedraza 1520 tower, approximately 1,500 m².

A preliminary program is proposed, to be verified during Phase 1 of the project, including an amphitheater with a multipurpose stage, outdoor exercise structures, planted walking paths, an event support bar, an urban vegetable garden, a grill area, igloo-style structures or lightweight canopies, a specialty coffee shop, outdoor dining and seating areas, a fire pit and gathering spaces, a reflecting pool, and recreational areas such as mini golf.
